The Phase 5 MVP Wakesurf Board is a trick surgeon master, specializing in perfectly executed grabs and revert riding.

Phase 5 stepped out of the box with the MVP Wakesurf Board. Designed by John Akerman, the MVP has a new design element not found in another board from Phase 5; Rail Grab Channels. The advantages are clear. It allows the rider a spot to grab onto when executing airs.

In creating the MVP surfer, Phase 5 kept the Matrix outline, but added a thicker core at John's request for more float and forgiveness. The MVP Wakesurf Board is the perfect board for the rider that is looking to take their surf game to the air. If you want to spin or carve it can do that too, but this board is born to be launched off the top.

It uses a basalt/Innegra top weave reinforced with a carbon stringer and tail patches, along with a full Innegra bottom sheet and carbon stringer.     FlexTec V2 has been the core construction method behind Phase 5’s surf-style boards for years. Its layup includes a full Innegra bottom sheet with a carbon stringer, paired with a full Innegra top sheet reinforced by both a carbon stringer and carbon vector netting.
