Boat: Centurion Ri230. 3yrs wake surfing and have been using a P5 Model X.
Model X (with all 3 fins): very stable, fast and easily recover from back of wave, quick rail to rail, great all around hybrid board.
Ahi (quad fin set up):
- much looser than Model X
- faster than Model X and easy to recover from back of wave or charge the wave for tricks
- Very responsive to turns at crest of wave
- floatier feel when long carving at Bottom of wave.
The Ahi is a really nice board and its capabilities are beyond me. I will be able to improve my abilities with this board for years to come.
This board is fast and so much fun to ride!!
This board is an absolute thrasher!!! Really allowing me to push myself into that space of advanced wake surfing. I love the modularity and simplicity of being able to easily detach and reattach the fins. Finally able to get those aerials that I’ve been searching for! With all three fins it sticks to the water like glue, with only two it’s a much more loose skimmy ride. This board isn’t for a beginner, but if you’re trying to push yourself to new heights, it’s super light and nimble! Stoked on the new addition to my quiver.
