The Syndicate Pro Comp Vest is the vest of choice of Syndicate Pros Will Asher, Jon Travers Benny Stadlbaur and more. Lighter, stronger, and featuring incredibly quick drying materials, it is specifically designed for high performance competition slalom skiing. The outer and inner surfaces employ smooth skin to allow water to bead off the surface with minimal water absorption. The inner material creates skin friction, so the vest stays in place and doesn’t ride up after deep water starts. Without concern for readjusting, skiers can devote all their focus to the quickly approaching pass. The horizontal flex zones and flexible materials provide the maximum mobility competition slalom skiers need to ski their best.

This comp vest is not a life jacket and is not coast guard approved. It should be used only in highly supervised, controlled settings.

FAQ

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A COMP AND A CGA VEST?

A CGA vest is a U.S. Coast Guard–approved life jacket designed to provide maximum flotation and meet legal safety requirements on most public waterways. It is thicker and more buoyant to help keep you afloat in an emergency. A comp vest (competition vest) is not Coast Guard approved. It is thinner, lighter, and more flexible for better mobility, but it does not meet legal life jacket requirements on most public lakes and rivers.

How do I know it fits?

If it zips, it fits. Comp vests are designed to fit snug, so if you can zip it up, it’s the right size. They will loosen slightly once they get wet, which is why we recommend starting with a tight fit.

Who should wear a comp vest?

Comp vests are best suited for experienced riders who are confident in the water and prioritize mobility and comfort while riding. They are commonly worn by advanced wakeboarders, wakesurfers, and cable park riders who want a slimmer fit and greater freedom of movement. Comp vests are not recommended for beginners, children, or anyone riding in situations where a Coast Guard–approved life jacket is required.
