Construction Types

  • Stealth performance

    Phase 5's newest surf-style construction, Stealth, is the first in their lineup to feature basalt. It uses a basalt/Innegra top weave reinforced with a carbon stringer and tail patches, along with a full Innegra bottom sheet and carbon stringer. This is the strongest layup Phase 5 offers, delivering top-tier durability without sacrificing performance. It provides powerful pop and a lively feel, and is reserved for their highest-end Performance shapes.

  • GatorSkin Supertough

    GatorSkin™ Super Tough Glass is a lightweight glass weave that integrates Carbon and Aramid fibers. It delivers a fast, stiff ride designed for riders who demand top-level performance.

  • FlexTec v2

    FlexTec V2 has been the core construction method behind Phase 5’s surf-style boards for years. Its layup includes a full Innegra bottom sheet with a carbon stringer, paired with a full Innegra top sheet reinforced by both a carbon stringer and carbon vector netting. This advanced blend of glass and epoxy resin results in an ultra-strong surf-style board built for durability and long-lasting performance.
