The Trident has been redesigned for 2013. Phase 5 removed the super wide belly towards the tail and gave it a nice profiled design throughout the entire board. The new tail design of the Trident looks as if the Model X, and the original Trident shape got together and this was their offspring. Similar to the X, the new Trident is shaped with a single wing combined with a mellow swallow tail. These improved features translate into a board with more control and hold on the wave, along with increased performance and maneuverability.

The Trident still comes standard with three 2" thruster fins. The 2" thruster fins give the board a bit more of a surf style feel than most phase 5 boards.   Remove the center fin and ride it twin for a  looser feel.  You can also try riding it with a single fin or even change to the optional 1" skim fins.    This will make the board really loose and will give it a very definite skim feel. There are many different fin combinations that you can use, we recommend trying several, you will be amazed at how changing the fin set up will effect the feel of the board.
