The Diamond was debuted at Surf Expo last year, followed two weeks later by Drew riding it to his 6th World Wakesurfing Championship. You might say it had a pretty good start and over the last year it has become a huge hit. Compared to Drew’s original shape the Diamond has a slightly noticable wider nose to mid-section that
flows down to its most obvious feature – the diamond tail. This
translates into a faster board that is easy to hang in the sweet spot
on small to mid sized waves and easier to keep up after a 360 shuv or big spin on pro sized waves.
Brand new for 2013, the Diamond comes
equipped with Phase 5's hi Performance™ traction pads. The old pads have been scratched and have been replaced with an entirely new set of grips that preform unlike
anything else out there.
"After riding the board for a full year I am blown away by the
speed and quick response of the board when riding it. Being able to ride
more weight on the back foot makes it feel more like traditional
surfing. "
-Drew Danielo, 6x World WakeSurf Champion
Most pro level wakesurfers ride on a board that is custom shaped for them and not the same as production models. Not at Phase 5, like the Danielo Pro Carbon the Danielo Diamond is the exact same board shape and design
that Drew rode to his last world championship and is built to the
standards that the best waksurfer in the world demands. If you are looking for a pro level board, that is quick and
responsive that makes keeping up with the wave easier, this is the board for you!
